Hello, I'm Fraser Deans, the founder of Local Solar Installers.

I started this site earlier this year. This little website has a big mission: increase Britain's solar capacity.

People often ask why I built Local Solar Installers. Here's the short story…

Back in 2018, I made a significant life change. After spending years in the tech industry, I became disenchanted with the role big tech was playing in accelerating social and environmental destruction. I knew I wanted to make a difference, but I wasn't sure how. The climate crisis felt overwhelming, and I needed to find a meaningful way to contribute to a sustainable future.

After a lot of soul searching and research, I realized that solar energy was the answer I was looking for. Solar panels offer a tangible solution to reducing our carbon footprint and combating climate change. More than just an eco-friendly option, they represent a path to energy independence and national security for the UK. With these thoughts in mind, Local Solar Installers was born.

Fast forward to 2024, over 95% of UK homes are still without solar panels. And 70% of UK home owners are eager to put panels on their home in the next few years.
